The English women's handball has done a great season in European competition. The Itxako Navarra fought to the final against Norway's Larvik and so did Alicante Sea the players against the Hungarian Rail Office. Both teams have played in the continental finals of the League Champions and Cup Winners Cup, leaving the English flag high and with a great image in Europe.
In the final, second leg Champions League Women Itxako Navarre fought the claw and forward until the last minute and defeated, in Hall of Pamplona Anaitasuna , the entire Norwegian Larvik by 25 to 24. One difference is not enough to win the title since the northern leg defeated by 23 to 21. The Pamplona started with many nerves and went against the scoreboard for most of the match until with five minutes remaining matched the light to 21 goals and believed in miracles. The team of Larvik, which is practically the Norwegian, made a very complete game and learned to play better the last few minutes before a Itxako who took the win over his love for 25 to 24. For his part in the final of the Cup Winners Cup, second leg, Alicante Sea could harvest only a tie at 23 goals against the Hungarians of Rail Cargo. The disadvantage of bringing the leg in Magyar land was five goals and mission almost impossible. For the group led by Ángel Sandoval Alicante was his first final in only their second continental European and precipitation was thrown against an opponent who had more hours of flight experience and more strength.
